Equipment Configuration
The testing system included strain gauges with multiple sets of 50-meter shielded cables, strain gauge welding accessories, six temperature sensors, four load cells, two displacement sensors, and one set of the HP-DJ8225 Dynamic Data Acquisition and Analysis System.
Project Description
After the plastic pipeline was buried underground, its load-bearing behavior was continuously monitored. Displacement sensors and strain gauges were installed inside the plastic pipeline, while load cells were positioned beneath the pipeline.
The system measured vertical and horizontal displacement variations under soil cover layers of different thicknesses, as well as strain and stress changes at critical locations along the pipeline. In addition, load cells were used to evaluate the pressure acting on the pipeline during the test.
